Creating a collection of images is no easy task. You need to get the right people involved internally and externally. Sharing a vision with creative individuals you work with each day and some you don’t isn’t as straightforward as you’d think. We all have busy salon lives, so discussing our annual collections takes up a lot of our own time. And communicating over the phone or by email needs to be as descriptive as possible.

This collection took inspiration from the emerging punk trend which is making a comeback. Texture, shape and colour were key elements to this collection. The styling had to have enough detail without being overpowering, and the make-up needed to be simplified and beautiful to make the images more appealing from a client’s point of view.

Creating this collection was a lot of fun and we always learn so much from each shoot we do.
